This Bavarian type wheat beer is one of the fastest growing beer styles in Europe. A golden brew, it is made from a blend of wheat & barley malts.

It is called 'Hefe Weizen' in Germany because it is served refreshingly chilled with the 'Hefe' or yeast poured right in the glass, producing an attractive white haze.

It is often served with a wedge of lemon to add to its thirst quenching character. Watch out for the tangy character of the wheat emerging, with stealth, from the aftertaste. We call this phenomenon "the bite".
